Ta-dah! Welcome to the
'new look' for the magazine,
something semi-decent
to have come out of
lockdown 3. The design has not been
changed since we started it, back
in 2012. Hopefully this is a welcome
'evolution.' There have been some
gentle tweaking aimed mainly at
making the magazine easier to read
and navigate. Sections - news, kit,
food and living - are each colourcoded.
The biggest changes are the
front cover logo and these inside edit
and contents pages. By making this
section two pages, it's much easier to
see what's inside the issue. I hope you
like it. Revamp by JBS Print & Design.
Other than that, it's business
as usual, and in the same order

of appearance. There's plenty of
news, including some food news
(fancy learning how to ferment
things?). Wellness is a word we
will all be hearing a lot more of
as we all come out of a long year
of uncertainty, lockdowns and in
some cases tragedy. We have a
Covid report on how to regain and
maintain your confidence at this
point in time. In addition, Abbott
hosted a Wellness Festival, and you're
invited to take a look, including
finding out how FreeStyle Libre
user Elise Quarrington is training
her dog, Logan, to sniff out her low
blood sugars.
We catch up with Medtronic
Diabetes Care with a good look at
its latest insulin pump, the MiniMed
780G Advanced Hybrid Closed Loop
(AHCL), including a look at what the
parent company in the USA is looking
to bring out in the future.
