from the NHS, Diabetes
UK, JDRF as well as
the International Diabetes Federation,
including a video from its head, Professor
Andrew Boulton.
We've already talked about having
a 'sick day rules' document to use if
necessary. There are several resources
you can use online, of which there are
links in this article as well as links to
various forums. Also, a group of specialist
diabetes HCPs have come together on
Twitter to provide support for people living
with diabetes during the Covid-19 crisis.

An online educational resource - BD and
Me - has been made free-to-access by
anyone who wants to learn about that
diabetes basic, injecting. There's a range
of topics covered (who knew there could
be so many?). So, from delivering insulin
to the right place, to using the right
needle, as well as how different insulins
work in your body are all explored, as
well as how to store it and how to care
for injecting sites. Then trouble-shooting
- why bruising? Why pain? Plus dealing
with the unexpected. As a means of
education, you can track your progress in
completing the modules.

Keeping busy at home
See our run down of things to do, if you
can find the time! Who'd have thought
filling time in lockdown would be so easy?
If you do have some free, then maybe
learn to cook. Or see an art exhibition
(David Hockney below, at the Tate) or
learn to do some art at home.
