ICE LOLLIES!
British orchards are an endangered
species - 60% have disappeared since
the 1950s - and so Bensons The Juicers
are doing their bit to keep them thriving
by sourcing only the finest seasonal British
apples for their juice products. Chilly Billy
is the name of the pure fruit ice lolly range
from Benson's. The Orange flavour lolly
has 40% pressed English Apple juice and
60% orange juice with a tiny bit of apple
gum acting as a stabiliser and a wee bit
of the antioxidant ascorbic acid. Carbs
are 10g per 100ml, so about 12g for the
115ml serving. In 70ml: flavours available
are Blackcurrant & Apple; Strawberry &
Apple; Mango & Apple. In 115ml: as above
plus Raspberry & Apple; Orange & Apple.

as these have 30% less fat than The
Black Farmer Premium Pork sausage.
Available at Sainsbury's Tesco's and
Morrison's, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones,
aka The Black Farmer, says of the new
version, "Listening to what my consumers
want is my priority. Many people are on
the lookout for healthier options but they
also don't want to miss out on enjoying a
proper juicy sausage full of flavour. While
sausages need some fat to make them
taste good, we've come up with a recipe
that doesn't compromise on flavour and
allows for a healthier choice."
