PANCREATIC
CANCER TEST
Researchers believe they are one step closer to detecting pancreatic
cancer through a simple saliva test. The team at UCLA School of
Dentistry were able to identify biomarkers in saliva that are associated

disease, which often includes diabetes as a symptom or result. Previous
research has identified that dentists could help to screen for a number
of chronic diseases, including diabetes.

Center looked back at a study of adolescents that included patients with
the condition, patients who did not have diabetes but were obese, and
patients without diabetes with normal body weight. Participants with diabetes
showed significantly more arterial stiffness. Adding Vitamin D to treatment
