EDITORS COMMENT
I've met Lee over the years at various events that he has either attended
or organised in his time working at the DRWF charity. I'm often at similar
events representing Desang's magazines and kitbags. By coincidence, Lee
was an early adopter of the Desang range of kitbags and says that it travels
everywhere with him. He even had it at this show and I was delighted to
see that and took a pic to celebrate a happy customer! - Sue Marshall
number of younger people with Type
1 Diabetes that commented on it to
me afterwards was interesting. They
were Type 1s that have never had
to survive using the rudimentary
insulins and tools that Pete had
to. It makes me feel very lucky to
have Type 1 in this day and age, to
be honest."
Attendees had the opportunity
to meet and chat with our funded
diabetes researchers and learn about
their ground-breaking work. It was
also a great place to meet other
people living with diabetes and make
new friends.
Looking ahead, Calladine says,
"We couldn't be happier with how
it all went and to see people going
home feeling informed, inspired,
empowered to manage their
diabetes. We're already planning for
2025 and can't wait to make United
Through Diabetes a bigger and better
experience for all involved."
