Southeast Asian food hotspots
featuring Thai, Vietnamese,
Malaysian and Indonesian flavours
are increasingly coming to the fore,
riding the wave of interest in street
food. Dominique Woolf, founder of
The Woolf's Kitchen is a half-Thai
chef who has a range of awardwinning 'textural'
chilli oils, hot
sauces and pastes inspired by her
Thai auntie Dang, including Dang's
legendary Tamarind Ketchup.

The foot-long sausage roll!
Woolf says, ''Sweet and spicy
food combinations aren't new - they
exist across numerous cuisines
from Thai sweet chilli sauce and its
quintessential condiment Nam Prik
Pao, to Korean Gochujang Paste,
Mexican hot chocolate and the
Sichuan dish Kung Pao, but social
media has played a huge part in
bringing this trend to life, showcasing
it to a new, adventurous audience.
Not only are Brits becoming far
more adventurous with their food.
With the cost of living crisis and the
hangover from the travel restrictions
of the pandemic, experimenting with
new cuisines and flavour profiles is
a brilliant way of transporting you
across the globe without leaving your
kitchen.''

Snaffling Pig describes itself as the home of UK porky
snacks and has launched its first ever frozen sausage
roll. The Foot-Long Sausage Roll with Black Pepper and
Ketchup has been developed in partnership with family
favourites, Peter's, a bakery based in Caerphilly since
1970. This sees Snaffling Pig build on its much-loved
range of pork crackling, Porky Puffs and their recently
launched Chorizo Bites. Last month Snaffling Pig was
listed as the UK's second largest pork snacks brand, with
year-on-year growth of 26%. The move into the sausage
roll category is part of the brand's strategy to broaden
its indulgent snacking appeal, injecting its signature
fun formats and bold, modern flavours into yet another
traditional classic. This foot-long offering is available in
ASDA supermarkets across the country, as we prepare
for a summer of socialising (RRP £1.69). Snaffling Pig
started life in 2014. Co-founder Nick Coleman set out
to transform humble, neglected pork crackling and
pork scratching, which morphed into an obsession. The
company's products are now available in Debenhams,
John Lewis, Selfridges, as well as Tesco, Sainsbury's, the
Co-op and WHSmith.
