Sea-ing is believing!
A plant-powered alternative 'seafood' that's as
nutritious as tuna.
As many 'flexitarians' might
tell you, until now, there
hasn't been very good
seafood alternatives for
a plant-based diet, certainly none
which have anywhere near the same
levels of protein and minerals.
However, it is claimed that
Seabloom 'Tuna-Free' Flakes, a plantbased
tuna alternative made from
organic Scottish seaweed (one of
our oceans' superfoods) is enriched
with pea protein and nutrient-dense
flaxseed oil, all natural ingredients.
With this relatively, new product,
you can enjoy seafood dishes or
snacks and get those all-important
nutrients that tuna contains, without
worrying about taking fish from the
sea, or whether it's dolphin friendly.
There are two flavours in the range,
Seabloom Olive Oil 'Tuna-Free' Flakes
and Seabloom Lemon 'Tuna-Free'
Flakes. Find them in the freezer aisle.
The flakes can be used in the same
way as regular tuna; tossed in salads,
mixed with veganaise (or mayonnaise
if you fancy) in sandwiches, topped
on bagels, added to pasta sauces, or
scattered on pizzas.
Conjuring up images of
aquamarine seas and al fresco dining,
a drizzle of olive oil adds the sunny,
savoury flavours of the Med, the
Seabloom Olive Oil 'Tuna-Free' Flakes
are a good complement to salads,
pasta, or pizza. When cooking hot
meals, take what your recipe needs
straight from the freezer and for cold
or fresh dishes, leave to defrost for
an hour before adding to your meal
or snack.
Lemon-squeezy!
Brightening your taste buds with
zingy, fresh lemon zest and a tunalike
texture, the Seabloom Lemon
'Tuna-Free' Flakes are a must for
dishes like salads, 'fish free' cakes,
tacos, and lighter pasta dishes
Nutrient-rich seaweed has
been present in the human diet for
thousands of years and long before
we started eating fish. Interestingly,
the goodness we get from fish
comes from the algae they eat, not
the fish itself, that's why Seabloom
offers similar nutritional benefits as
fish, except it is made from plantpowered
seaweed goodness. The
range is high in protein, omega 3,
and iodine, it is made with no soy or
gluten and has no mercury, making it
suitable for little ones and those who
are pregnant.
The Seabloom 'Tuna-Free' Flakes
range is frozen, this extended shelflife
helps to reduce food waste and
come in recyclable packaging (minus
a film lid), and have low food miles
as they are made with ingredients
sourced in Europe, available to
European consumers only.
