Cultured Club
The Cultured Collective is an award-winning fermented
food brand which sells unpasteurised, live ferments made
with only natural ingredients that 'make healthy eating
delicious'. Its founder, Nicola Peters, started selling from a
stall in London markets but since then the brand has since
grown. It is now listed on Ocado, in Whole Foods Market,
Planet Organic and many independent stores across the UK.
She says, "Fermented foods have played a big part
in my own health journey, and I'm delighted that our
biggest listing to-date will result in many more people
incorporating fermented foods into their diet. People
always tell us they picked us up for the health benefits but
kept buying us because of the taste. As awareness of the
importance of gut health grows and tools like Zoe's new
Processed Food Risk Scale help people assess the health
risks of processed foods and UPFs, there will be many more
people picking up ferments."
Two options are now available in 183 Sainsbury's stores,
theh Fennel, Apple and Dill Sauerkraut and the Original
Kimchi (both RRP: £4.75/250g).

Improper G&T
Gin enthusiasts can throw out the rulebook and forget outdated
notions of the best mixer for gin by pairing Brockmans Gin Intensely
Smooth (RRP £36.00, Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's) with a premium
cloudy lemonade, such as San Pellegrino Limonata or FeverTree Sicilian
Lemonade, or even homemade lemonade to make this new serve.
Brockmans Gin blends classic botanicals with bold ingredients
like blackcurrant, bilberry, and hawthorn berries. The berry-forward
profile in Brockmans Intensely Smooth pairs with the tangy zing of
cloudy lemonade, creating a bold twist on the classic G&T to make way
for a deliciously refreshing Improper G&T. In 2024, Brockmans Gin
achieved B Corp status.
To make, put 50ml Brockmans Gin in a highball glass along with
150ml low sugar lemonade and stir gently to combine, serve with a
lemon wedge and blueberry garnish.
