Unique Flavour
Yondu is a South Korean plant-based seasoning sauce
made out of umami rich vegetables and loved by
Michelin Star Chefs. The 100% plant-based sauce is
made from a three-month slow fermentation process
of organic, protein-rich soybeans blended with a
simmered seven-vegetable broth making it unique.
Yondu has received global praise from renowned
Michelin-starred chefs José Andrés and Quique
Dacosta. Adding just a few teaspoons of Yondu to
broths, soups, stir-fries and any other everyday
meal, creates a quick and easy way to give a boost of
flavour to dishes. Additionally, it's a great plant-based
alternative for bouillon, concentrated stock, or fish
sauce and can be added to recipes at any stage of the
cooking process.
Yondu has been created by Sempio, a family-run
South Korean food company established in 1946.
South Korea's vegetable consumption is among the
highest in the world. Yondu is a 100% plant-based
product, certified Organic, non-GMO, vegan, and
gluten-free. Non-GMO organic soybeans are triplefermented
over the course of 100 days, then blended
with the savoury broth of onions, white radishes,
leeks, cabbage, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, ginger
and garlic to create its unique flavour that enhances
the taste of a variety of cuisines. RRP £6.88 for 275ml.

No bland gloop here!
A brand called 2 Fingers has launched a range of artisan
chunky tartare sauces, reviving what they describe as
'the lost craft of tartare sauce'. Its 2 Fingers' Chunky
Tartare Sauce range consists of four varieties: Original
(including Original Vegan), spicy Creole, and fiery Wasabi
made with fresh wasabi grown in the UK. The sauces are
made using free-range egg mayonnaise, shallots, capers
and cornichons, with no artificial sweeteners, colours or
flavours. Rick Panesar, founder and director at 2 Fingers
says, "Over time, tartare sauce has become a byword for
a bland gloop of an excuse for a condiment to accompany
our love of seafood. Our new range of tartare sauces aims
to revive the lost craft of tartare sauce, making it the
quintessential companion for our fish suppers, as well as a
well-respected, stand-alone condiment in its own right."
2 Fingers was founded by Panesar as a progressive
street food pop-up concept in search of the Holy Grail -
The Ultimate Fish Finger Sandwich Experience! As 2 Fingers
expanded, it has gone on to develop a fully extended retro
dining experience, showcasing a 'pescatarian' food menu
structured around the concept of 'sharing between friends'.
2 Fingers tartare sauces proved popular with customers
and friends alike, which led to calls for it to be made
available as a stand-alone product. RRP £4.50 for 250g.
