Squeeze for taste!
Bonnie Chung is the founder of Miso
Tasty, a Japanese home-cooking food
brand and is the author of The Miso
Tasty and Tofu Tasty cookbooks.
She travelled the length of Japan for
more than three years, tasting her
way through thousands of different
Japanese miso pastes, so she knows
her stuff. The food brand has a range
of versatile cooking sauces that add
a dose of Japanese flavour with just a
simple squeeze. These sauces can be
used in a variety of ways: as a glaze,
sauce, marinade or dressing and
help re-create classic Japanese home
cooking dishes without the need
to look up a recipe. There's Sweet
& Sticky Teriyaki, Sweet & Savoury
Miso, and Zesty Miso Yuzu. Each
squeezy tube (RRP £2.40) contains
100g of sauce which provides 5-6
servings and is fully recyclable. The
sauces are both vegan and gluten
free bringing a savoury flavour hit
to vegetables, tofu and other plantbased
dishes.

Brown rice,
white cheese
MozzaRisella is the first and
only plant-based products using
innovative ways of using the
sprouts of brown rice grown by
organic farming. The products are
suitable for everyone - coeliac,
lactose intolerant, allergic to
certain ingredients, or those simply
wanting to improve their health
and wellbeing.
Laboratory analysis of the brown
rice sprout products shows that
the amino acid composition and
micronutrient contents are similar
to that found in human breast
milk, with 22 amino acids including
gamma-oryzanol or gammaaminobutyric,
as well as minerals,
vitamins and proteins.
The company activates whole
grain brown rice seeds of Italian
origin through the natural method
of sprouting, using spring water
straight from the heart of the
Lessinia Natural Park of the
Little Dolomites. No ready-made
flavourings are used, instead, the
brand is finding their own taste
using natural spices and herbs, like
oregano, turmeric, lemon peels,
lemon juice.
The brand is already well
established in restaurants and shops
across the UK. You will also find it
melted on top of the vegan pizza at
Pizza Express or Ask Italian, as well
as The White Rabbit Pizza Co.

The Scottish Bee Company's
heather honey has become the first
ever food product in the UK to be
awarded the new British Standards
Institution (BSI) Kitemark™ for
Food Assurance. The new mark has
been created to help food sector
organisations verify food label claims.
It enables brands, manufacturers,
producers and suppliers to fulfil and
communicate their commitment
and customer promise whether it
relates to authenticity, provenance,
purity, socially responsible or
environmentally sustainable agrifood
production and supply.
Honey is on Interpol's list
as one of the most adulterated
and fraudulent food products,
but pure Scottish heather honey
from the Scottish Bee Company
is only produced in hives located
in the Lothians, Dumfriesshire,
Stirlingshire, Fife and Aberdeenshire.
Suzie Millar, Co-founder of The
Scottish Bee Company, said: "We're
absolutely over the moon to be the
first food product in the UK to have
been awarded the new BSI Kitemark
for Food Assurance. Provenance,
purity, social responsibility and
environmental sustainability is so
important to us and we wanted to
assure our customers around the
world that when they buy a jar of
our 'Scottish heather honey', that's
exactly what they're getting."
To achieve its BSI Kitemark for
Food Assurance, the Scottish Bee
Company had to have each step of its
supply chain audited and its honey
samples tested for pesticides and
genetically modified organisms in an
independent laboratory environment.
The Scottish Bee Company's Heather
Honey has won a Great Taste award
and prides itself on having no
pesticides or Genetically Modified
Organism (GMOs) in its products.
